Some Interface

Ok! Some images coming up showing some interface.

So this will be our main menu, at least for the arcade version. It will contain a few small animations etc and give of a nice feeling.

This is a picture of the healthbar for the players.

But when the Fallen shows himself the healthbar turns into this one! Scares the crap out of them. Did it anyway.

When you win as an angel this were the victory screen, but soon we will have new one. With more win in it.

When the Fallen wins, you will know when this splash of glory hits your sight!

Btw, we started crunching. Shouldn't effect this blog. I think.

Our playable area

This game takes place in a big cathedral where tons of people walk around. You, the angel, fly around blessing or possessing them.

This is our entire playable area, which is work in progress. We in the group like it a lot, and we believe it will be even more awesome later on.

This is an early concept-art of how we thought we'd want to represent the feeling of our area.

This is our generic human that walks around in our cathedral just waiting to be blessed/possessed.

This is just a little something we thought of as prop in our area to give it a better feeling.

One of our background skies which will give the a great contribution to the games feeling.

The Summoner

This monster is one of 2 that we thought of implementing and got to stay in the game. The summoner is a demon that teleports into the playable area and summon Imps from its dimensional-crossing mouth which makes it a high priority to kill so the map won't become overrun.

Concept-Art for The Summoner.

This is the skeleton for the final design, this particular animation is it's spawning animation.

The Imps

Now let's show you all our annoying little buggers that makes the game as chaotic as it should be, the Imps.

These imps fly around in our game possessing humans to obstruct the players progress and will easily swarm up in big numbers if you don't take care of them.

We also chose to keep the top left color-theme for them after a brief discussion but maybe just because it's the original one. Though please tell/vote for your favorite in the comments and we might just use that one instead!

The Fallen

This time we'll show you the antagonist of our game, the Fallen one.
The Fallen one is one of our 4 angels to start with but after our preset time-limit he will turn into this dark and evil thing and fight the other 3 remaining angels.

One of our concept-art for the Fallen one, we actually kept a surprising amount of details from this one since we all seemed to liked it so much.

This is one of the earliest drawings of our Fallen one when we still discussed if he should be a straight up monster or have more of a human form. We decided on the latter.

The Player

Today We'll introduce you to our playable character, the angel.
The angel is our protagonist, our hero, our player. They have traveled down to a church on earth to find and cleanse it of a demonic presence.

This is a early version of our angel, and we liked and kept many things within it like robes and mask.

Angel Death animation

Angel Moving Animation

Angel almost final design
This design shows player differences where mask, weapon and also color determines the players look. The only thing we disregarded from this design is that he had 4 arms which now are 2 in our current design.

This is the almost final image of the angel, where this one has the color teal, fork weapon and a simple mask.

It's time to introduce you to our game under development; Apostate

Hello gentlepeople!
We thought we could start talking about our first and latest project Apostate from this day forth on a regular basis.

So let's look at what Apostate is;

Apostate is a 4-player arena platformer with social aspects. They co-operate to gather resources, fight monsters to discover that the traitor "the Fallen One", is hiding in their midst and fight him in a last showdown.

It will most likely be available for Xbox 360 and possibly for PC if we release it.

We would also like to show some stuff to give you a general idea of how things look, so here you go!
This a Concept-Art for our Angels, which we thought would be more fun to make looking not so close to what you ordinarily think of as angels to give it our personal touch in the game.

This is our first NPC enemy in our game, he's a nasty fellow who will fly around and posses people and attack our players. Though he is smaller than you'd think and a solution to stopping him exists; beat him back to hell!
